Dr. Arthur Chen Ph.D, Technical Advisor
Dr. Chen received his engineering degrees from MIT (Ph.D, M.S. and B.S.) and is a visiting lecturer at the
school. Previously a Senior Executive at General Electric's Corporate R&D Center, Dr. Chen was also
appointed by the Washington State Governor as a board member for the Washington State Technology
Center, and as a Commissioner of the New York State Business Development Commission.
Lo-Yu Sun, Business Advisor
Mr. Sun was a member of the National Advisory Council of the United States Small Business Administration
(SBA), and Chairman and CEO of The China Harbor of Seattle. Mr. Sun is a successful investor in restaurants
and real estate in the US and is founding member of the Mill Creek Country Club.

Jeremy Goodwin, Business Advisor
Mr. Goodwin received his BS from Cornell University in 1996 and an advanced degree from Princeton
University. Fluent in Mandarin and French, he has previously worked for Mees Pierson Investment, ABN
Amro Bank in China, and ING Barings. Mr. Goodwin is also a co-founder of Global Capital Group, Managing

Dr. Syd S. Peng, Ph.D., Coal Advisor
Dr. Peng is a distinguished professor of mining engineering at the West Virginia University (WVU),
specializing in underground mining technologies. Dr. Peng worked for the U.S. Bureau of Mines, joined the
faculty of WVU where he served as Chairman of the Department of Mining Engineering. Dr. Peng
earned his PhD in Mining Engineering from Stanford University in 1970.
David Lam, Business Advisor
Mr. Lam is a Managing Director at WI Harper Group. He was previously with The Carlyle Group after
spending several years in operating roles at various Silicon Valley-based technology companies. Mr. Lam
holds an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management where he was a Merit Scholar and a recipient of
the Patrick G. McGovern Award for Entrepreneurship, and an MA in Sociology and a BS in Industrial
Engineering from Stanford University.
