Community Involvement
Community Effort

L&L is grateful that during this challenging economic time it has been able to grow. As responsible members of our community, L&L recognizes the
needs of others and supports organizations who lend a hand to get them back on their feet.

The Tukwila Pantry is a local area food bank that serves households and patrons in the Tukwila, Washington area by providing groceries, meal
services, and a support network.

On May 24, 2011, L&L presented a check for $2,500 to initiate challenge to the surrounding community:  For every dollar donated, L&L will match
up it to $5,000.00.
After the presentation, L&L management and staff served dinner to the community members.

“I just wanted to thank you for all the support that L&L Energy brought to the Tuesday's Table meal program. All of our clients had a great
time and enjoyed the opportunity to see that others in the community are giving of their time and treasure also.“
    -Joe Tice, Executive Director
    Tukwila Pantry

“L&L will continue to support our local community by donating our time and resources to organizations that increase the quality of life for
    the members of our community.”

L&L is a major sponsor for the International Leadership Foundation ("ILF"), a non-profit organization that promotes the civic awareness, public
service and economic effectiveness of the Asian-Pacific American community. ILF's mission is to develop young leaders in the United States,
Asia, and other Pacific-rim countries in the fields of public service, entrepreneurship and the international arena through a network of business
and community leaders.

Through the ILF Civic Fellowship Program, they provide scholarships to APA college students and place them in structured Summer Internships
with government agencies. ILF Fellows are future APA leaders in the academic, cultural, business, community, medical, professional, or public
arenas. ILF provides these future APA leaders with a practical understanding of how our government and legislative process works. L&L's
contributions directly fund multiple ILF Fellows each summer in Washington D.C.
The local initiatives include priority local recruitment and training; priority local sourcing of supplies including lumber, brick, and food provisions;
visits to senior citizens; provision of small stipends to the elderly; and support to high school graduates attending college. The Weishe Mine's
operation is steadily expanding to over 130 workers at the present time.
