Edmund Moy Elected to the Company’s Board of Directors

SEATTLE, December 30, 2011.  L & L Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: LLEN) (“L&L” or the “Company”), a U.S. based company since 1995
with coal mining and distribution businesses in southwest China, announced today Edmund Moy, current Vice President of Corporate
Infrastructure and former 38th Director of the United States Mint was nominated and unanimously elected to the Company’s Board of
Directors, he will serve concurrently as VP of Corporate Infrastructure and a non-independent Board Member. Mr. Moy will replace
Robert Lee on L&L’s Board of Directors, who is vacating his position for personal reasons.

improving L&L’s operations and bringing more transparency to our Company; this appointment to the Company’s Board of Directors

Mr. Moy is an executive with extensive high-level experience in both public and private sectors.  Prior to LLEN, he served as the 38th
Director of the United States Mint at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from September 2006 through January 2011.  He had full
P&L responsibility for the world's largest manufacturer of coins and medals, increasing revenues to over $4 billion.    From 2001-
2006, he served in the White House as a Special Assistant to the President of the United States and helped recruit the Nation’s best
and brightest to serve in senior-level appointments.  He was a private equity consultant with clients including Welsh, Carson,
Anderson & Stowe and was a sales and marketing executive with Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Mr. Moy earned a B.A. from the University
of Wisconsin with a triple major in economics, international relations, and political science.  He has served as a director of several for-
profit companies and charitable, religious, and fraternal organizations and has an endorsement contract with Morgan Gold.

Secretary Norman Mineta, L&L Vice Chairman, Chairman of the Nominations Committee commented, “I’ve known Ed for a long time
